Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies: A Complete Review
Goli nutrition has absolutely taken the health world by storm in recent years.
I'd even go as far as saying they probably deserve the lion's share of the credit for launching the 'gummies' trend - which is fast becoming many people's favourite way to take everything from multivitamins and melatonin through to CBD and adaptogens.
As with everything in the health industry that rapidly explodes in popularity, it's worth being cautious and diligent with your research so as to not get swept up in the marketing hype for a sub-par product.
As such, I've spent considerable hours testing and researching the science behind Goli's ACV gummies (& the ethics behind the company as a whole) to give you the best insight into what you're actually buying when you purchase a tub of Goli gummies.
Spoiler Alert: They are a solid product for many people that will fill some gaps and allow for some better food choices, but they aren't here to replace your multivitamin.
Read on to see what I mean and why.
What are Goli ACV Gummies?
Goli apple cider vinegar gummies are the flagship product from Goli Nutrition, and by all accounts, are the first apple cider vinegar gummies in the world (well, that have been commercially successful).
Goli Nutrition was founded by Michael Bitensky in 2017 on the basis of his belief that "for years, people have been unable to experience the health benefits of ACV because of its unpleasant taste. As a result, people either give up or reduce their intake". Since then, they've launched a number of other nutrition products that span far beyond the benefits of apple cider vinegar - but this product is where it all started.
Goli's ACV gummies contain 6 active ingredients - apple cider vinegar powder, beetroot powder, pomegranate powder, vitamin B12, pectin and vitamin B9. We will take you through the indicated health benefits and reasons for these ingredients later in this review.
According to Goli, all gummies are made in the United States from a combination of local and globally sourced ingredients. Production is done in an FDA-registered, cGMP-certified and BRC food-certified facility that is both kosher and verified allergen-free - with a claim to quality test at every stage of the process.
So, now that we've laid out what they are and how they came to be - do they do what they say they do?
Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies Review - A Deep Dive In
After taking them for a good month and looking into all of the finer details of the gummies, the company and purported health benefits - here's my take:
What I like:
A dose of ACV without the taste - Exactly as designed - if you're someone who can't stand the idea of drinking apple cider vinegar, but likes the idea of taking ACV regularly - this is an easy way to get apple cider vinegar into your diet without the acidic flavour. Two gummies are reportedly equivalent to one tablespoon of ACV.
A good 'swap' for candy lovers - This is an excellent product if you're someone who has a 'sweet tooth' and finds it hard to resist candy and lollies (Note: if you are that person, you should also check out Funday Natural Sweets).
Goli gummies taste like a sweet treat, pack in some potential health benefits and don't contain the sugar levels of your typical trashy candy and lollies. Making a simple swap of ACV gummies for your packet of lollies is an easy and healthier move that won't leave you feeling like you're missing something. Many smokers when looking to quit often go to lollies to replace the physical habit of smoking - again, these would be a much better option if this is you.
Good company ethics - Goli as a company seems committed to using its platform and influence for good. They've partnered with both Vitamin Angels and Eden Reforestation Projects to give back quite significantly, they use sustainably sourced, compostable and recyclable material across all products and they give a very easy 100% refund if you're at all unsatisfied, making it a very risk-free product to try.
What Could Be Improved:
A bit too much sugar for my liking - With a recommended serving of 1 - 2 gummies, 3 times a day - there is the potential to add an extra 12g of sugar to your diet here if you follow this regimen. While this may not be a big deal for some, those closely monitoring their sugar intake will need to watch out for this.
Could be more concentrated - I know that the main goal of Goli's ACV gummies is to make taking apple cider vinegar more appealing and palatable, but having to take 6 gummies each day is actually a bit of work to keep track of! It would be good to get a higher dose per gummy so you didn't need to take so many.
They stick to the bottle - To be honest, I didn't find this to be a major issue personally, but this is the cause of a few complaints. If you keep them out of direct sunlight and store them in a cool, dark place you should be fine. And the worst-case scenario, you may need to dig the last few out of the bottle with a fork.
In Summary: What Are Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies Good For?
Goli ACV gummies are not here to replace your multivitamin. I've seen some complaints that they don't offer a good range of essential vitamins and minerals in high enough concentrations, however, this isn't what they are trying to do. They are simply offering a quick, tasty and simple way to get apple cider vinegar into your diet - if that's what you'd like to do. They are a good product if that's your goal, but if you're looking for a wide-ranging supplement to cover nutritional gaps - this isn't it.
- 100% hassle-free refund if you aren't happy with them with free worldwide shipping
- Goli is partnered with Vitamin Angels and Eden Reforestation projects -
- All packaging is sustainably-sourced, compostable, biodegradable and recyclable
- Does what it intends to do - offer a tasty way to incorporate apple cider vinegar into your diet
- They mention 3rd party quality testing, however, I can't find any evidence. Will update the review if I can confirm this.
- The recommended dose is taking in a bit of sugar and requires taking too many gummies for my liking.
Goli ACV Gummy Key Health Benefits:
Goli ACV gummies have a few key ingredients that offer some different potential benefits, however, obtaining the health benefits of apple cider vinegar is the main reason you'd choose to take this supplement.
So, the health benefits of Goli ACV gummies really boil down to the question - 'what are the main health benefits of apple cider vinegar'?
Well, there are a few claims out there so let's have a look at what's being said and if the science supports it or not:
1.) May Help With Weight Loss
Apple cider vinegar has long been touted as a weight-loss remedy by many in the health world.
There are some studies to suggest that the acetic acid component of ACV may positively affect body weight, BMI, visceral fat area, waist circumference, and serum triglyceride levels, however, most of these studies are very small and limited in nature at this point - much more research is needed before anything definitive can be said.
It should also be recognised that even if a substance can help processes in the body that relate to weight gain or loss - nothing is a 'fix-all' for poor diet and minimal exercise.
2.) May Help With Digestion, Bloating And Gas
Many people say the main reason they use ACV is to help support good gut health, however, from a scientific perspective - it is yet to be determined.
Anecdotally, those with low stomach acid often claim it helps with digestion - and ACV with the 'mother' is widely believed to contribute good bacteria to the gut and act as a probiotic. Again, we can't lean on the science for this one yet as it's really not there.
3.) Can Potentially Help Reduce Blood Sugar Levels
There is some promising science emerging for this health claim, indicating that the acetic acid component of ACV may affect enzymes that relate to starch digestion - slowing down the process and releasing glucose slower than otherwise.
Studies supporting this are still small in nature but have produced promising results. It's worth noting that the sugar component of ACV gummies will likely counteract the potential benefits in blood sugar reduction of ingesting apple cider vinegar though - so if this is your main goal, you'd be better off taking it straight.
4.) Possibly Helps Boost Immunity & Fight Bacteria
The anecdotes of ACV 'curing' colds and flu go back for millennia and as such - it's been the base for many different home remedies.
There is some research suggesting that apple cider vinegar does possess anti-microbial properties, and combined with the probiotics contained in the 'mother' and high concentrations of polyphenols, it is plausible that ACV may have an effect on cold and flu symptoms by promoting some beneficial elements of the body's immunity.
All of the health claims listed above are in their infancy when it comes to being backed by solid clinical evidence, however, as you can see - there are some promising leads.

Our Favourite Alternatives And Complements:
If you're looking for some other great supplement ideas to add in with the Goli apple cider vinegar gummy, or want to try something else entirely - these are some great options:
1.) Goli Ashwagandha Gummies
Leading on from their incredible success with their apple cider vinegar gummies, Goli has expanded their range significantly recently to cover a number of other supplements and nutritional bases - one of which is now my favourite product from them- Goli Ashwagandha Gummies.
Ashwagandha is a very well-researched and widely used ayurvedic herb and similar to ACV, is known by most for having a pretty terrible flavour. Now offered in gummy form by Goli, many people are finding it a lot easier to take.
Ashwagandha is great for sleep, stress reduction, energy maintenance and brain health.

2.) Hilbilby Fire Tonic
Going in the complete opposite direction to Goli's ethos by making ACV impossible to taste, Hilbilby's Fire Tonic gives you the full flavour experience with some added extra kick!
Not for the faint of heart, this Fire Tonic comes from a traditional folk remedy touted to help with metabolism issues, immunity, digestion, blood sugar and bacterial overgrowth.
If the gummies have made to think 'maybe I'm ready to go a bit harder with my ACV' - then this is your next stop.
3.) Athletic Greens AG1
Whereas the Goli Nutrition apple cider vinegar isn't designed to be a complete nutritional supplement - Athletic Greens AG1 is.
With over 50 iterations and more than 75 unique ingredients, AG1 has been formulated as 'foundational nutrition' - designed to help you fill any nutritional gaps you may have in your diet.
AG1 is an excellent addition to your daily routine if you want to make sure you are firing on all cylinders
Hopefully, we've answered most of your Goli ACV gummy questions above - but if not, this should cover the rest:

I guess it all depends on why you're taking them. If you're looking for something that simply allows you to take a dose of apple cider vinegar without the taste - then yes. If you're looking for a miracle supplement that will make you shed weight and give you unbeatable immunity - then probably not.
Are Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies Good Value?
Buying a single bottle can be a bit expensive in my opinion, however, if you choose to buy a few bottles at a time, or subscribe to a monthly delivery - the price drops quickly making them much better value. Also, if you choose to use our discount code (THEBIRCHERBAR), you can save anything from 10% to 50% depending on the promotion they are running.
Do Goli Gummies Work For Weight Loss?
Nothing really works for weight loss other than making sure you are taking fewer calories in than you are using. However, there is some science indicating that apple cider vinegar may have some effects on metabolic processes - so they may be useful as long as you are addressing the first point.
How Long Does It Take For Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies To Work?
Again, it depends on what you're looking to achieve by taking theme, however, to simplify it - Goli recommends taking them for at least a month before assessing if you notice any changes.
Are Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies A Probiotic?
Even though Goli apple cider vinegar gummies contain the probiotic-rich 'mother' component, there is some speculation in the scientific community as to whether or not this has an effect on our gut flora. They may deliver some probiotics to other gut, however, if you're looking for a serious probiotic backed by rigorous science - check out Seed's Daily Synbiotic.

How Many Tablespoons Of Apple Cider Vinegar Are In Goli Gummies?

The Bottom Line:
Goli's apple cider vinegar gummies have rocketed their way to become one of the most popular & well-reviewed health products of the modern era. Personally - I like the taste, branding and company ethics - but I am under no illusion that these gummies alone are going to 'revolutionise' my health like many reviews out there are claiming.
They do legitimately contain a decent serving of ACV (of which there is some scientific reasoning to use) along with a couple of vitamins, however, they aren't designed to be a broad-spectrum multivitamin. They're a good product if you understand what they are and what they are trying to achieve - which is to simply give you the benefits of ACV without the vinegar taste.
In my opinion - Goli's apple cider vinegar gummies are a great thing to have on hand as a treat that is on the 'healthy side' and less of a serious nutritional supplement. And hey, what's wrong with a treat here and there, particularly if it is on the healthier side?
