Goli Nutrition has stormed onto the health scene in recent years with a range of different vitamin gummies and bites that have exploded in popularity.
One of their first and most sought-after releases is the Goli Ashwagandha Gummy - also known by many as the 'blue goli gummies'.
Ashwagandha is an ayurvedic herb that I'm very familiar with and have taken for years - so I was quite keen to see how the Goli Ashwa gummies performed as a supplement.
Are they potent enough? What about the sugar content? Why take them instead of an ashwagandha powder extract or capsule?
Well - these answers and many more await you below!
What are Goli Ashwagandha Gummies?
Goli ashwagandha gummies are one of the best-selling 'vitamin gummies' from Goli Nutrition - probably second only in popularity to their flagship product, the Goli Apple Cider Vinegar Gummy.
Much like Apple Cider Vinegar, ashwagandha has a very strong flavour that is quite repulsive to many people who would benefit from taking it. And as with the ACV gummy, the blue Goli gummies are designed to give people who really can't stand the flavour of ashwagandha a way to take it in an easy and tasty way. They taste like natural sweets but are designed to be on the health supplements side of the spectrum.
Goli's ashwagandha gummies are quite simple in their design and only contain 2 active ingredients - KSM-66® Ashwagandha Root Extract & Vitamin D. There are however a number of other ingredients that go into making the 'gummy' part of this equation.
We will take you through the indicated health benefits and reasons for these ingredients later in this review.
So - how does the blue Goli gummy stack up as a useful supplement?
Goli Ashwagandha Gummies Review - A Deep Dive In
I took 2 gummies a day (as recommended) for 1 month - and here's my take:
What I like:
An easy way to take Ashwagandha without the taste: - In my opinion, the strongest selling point of the Goli Ashwa Gummies is that they provide a convenient way to take KSM-66 ashwagandha without suffering the flavour of a powder or whole root. The gummies do actually taste quite good (they're the best-tasting gummies I've had so far) and if you've ever had ashwagandha powder, you'll know it does have a very strong flavour (read: pretty horrible according to most people).
Ashwagandha is a great supplement: - There are many 'natural remedies' in the health world that ride on the back of the latest trends and hottest fads - and Ashwagandha is not one of them. Ashwagandha has been used to great effect for many thousands of years in ayurvedic medicine and now represents one of the most thoroughly researched alternative medicines available. In everything from aiding with anxiety and supporting sleep to naturally increasing testosterone and stimulating muscle growth, it's a true herbal supplement that most people will benefit from.
Goli Does Good: - I believe good business does good business - and Goli is a brand that uses its reach and platform to make change. With key partnerships at Vitamin Angels and Eden Reforestation Projects, all purchases contribute to making life better for those less privileged and assisting with important environmental rehabilitation. From a consumer perspective, Goli also looks after the customer with Free Shipping on all orders and a 30-day money-back guarantee if you aren't satisfied.
What Could Be Improved:
I'm a bit of a purist: - I'm not someone who personally has an issue with the flavour of Ashwagandha so don't feel a strong need to hide it in a gummy. While the Goli Ashwa gummies are convenient when travelling or on the run - I'd generally prefer to use a concentrated Ashwagandha powder in a smoothie or breakfast bowl most of the time so I can better control the dose.
Don't let them get hot: - If you leave your gummies in a hot car or in the sunlight of your kitchen window - they will melt and get sticky enough to glue themselves to the bottle. This seems to be a common complaint by many people across all Goli Gummy products - I wouldn't call it a deal breaker, but you probably will have to dig the last few out with a fork.
In Summary: What Are Goli Ashwagandha Gummies Good For?
Goli Ashwagandha Gummies do a surprisingly good job of delivering a useful dose of ashwagandha in a way that is tasty and convenient.
They are more concentrated than the Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummy meaning you only need to take 4 for the recommended daily dose (as opposed to 6 for the apple cider vinegar gummies). They use KSM 66 ashwagandha which is regarded by many as the best form of Ashwagandha to take (we will give some more details on this below) along with vitamin D2 to make for a beneficial and complimentary pairing. They do add 8g of sugar to your diet each day if you take them as designed - which may or may not be an issue for you depending on your circumstances.
Pros and Cons of Goli Blue Gummies:
|Ashwagandha is an excellent ayurvedic herb with numerous health benefits supported by many clinical studies
|Can be hard to get the last ones out of the bottle and if they get hot, can be hard to get most of them out!
|Ashwagandha does have a strong flavour and the Goli Blue Gummies make for an easy and tasty way to take it
|Probably not the cheapest way to take ashwagandha and doesn't allow for tight dose control if you're looking to do so
|Goli is a solid company that transparently looks after its customers and other important causes
Goli Ashwagandha Gummy Key Health Benefits:
Unlike the Goli ACV gummies which contain a number of different 'active ingredients', the Goli ashwa gummy keeps it simple by only packing in 2 ingredients designed to deliver health benefits: KSM-66® Ashwagandha Root Extract & Vitamin D.
Vitamin D is an incredibly important fat-soluble vitamin with stacks of scientific studies and clinical research showing that it plays a vital role in the healthy function of musculoskeletal, immune, nervous, and cardiovascular systems. It's become an increasingly hot topic in recent times as more and more evidence emerges showing the detrimental effects of vitamin D deficiencies.
Goli has elected to use Vitamin D2 in this supplement (also called ergocalciferol) which has been the more commonly prescribed form of Vitamin D for many years now, however, some evidence and medical opinions are suggesting that Vitamin D3 is likely a more efficacious and bioavailable form.
KSM-66® Ashwagandha Extract:
KSM-66 is a branded form of Ashwagandha that is one of the most popular on the market. Consumers and manufacturers like it as it is a standardised, full-spectrum extract that is of a high concentration and extensively tested. Different forms of ashwagandha often have different clinical studies associated with their health benefits - so the benefits we will discuss below relate to the studies undertaken on KSM-66 ashwagandha specifically:
1.) May Help With Stress & Anxiety Management
Ashwagandha has long been used by people to deal with excessive stress and anxiety and is one of the primary reasons people take it in the busy modern world. Numerous studies now show (such as this one) that a high-concentration full-spectrum ashwagandha extract may have the ability to notably reduce serum cortisol levels (aka. the ' stress hormone ') relating to chronic stress - as well as various self-assessed stress/anxiety measures.
2.) May Improve Sleep Quality & Onset
A number of early studies now show the potential for ashwagandha to improve sleep quality and sleep onset in those suffering from insomnia, anxiety issues and poor general sleep experience. Much of this benefit is largely associated with the positive effects ashwagandha can have on cortisol levels and other chronic stress-related measures.
3.) Can Help Improve Muscle Size, Strength and General Fat Loss
Ashwagandha has become the coveted supplement of many bodybuilders, powerlifters, athletes and general gymgoers due to its well-studied effects on muscle performance. Various studies indicate its potential to positively affect muscle development across almost every measure - including size, strength, recovery and endurance.
4.) Can Help Improve Cardiovascular Activity & Performance
It's not just gym goers and strength athletes that may benefit, cardio enthusiasts and those seeking to just improve general fitness may be able to benefit from taking ashwagandha. Studies on elite athletes and non-athletes alike all indicate that ashwagandha extracts can help with improving your VO2 Max (the maximum rate of oxygen your body is able to use during exercise) and time to exhaustion when undertaking cardiorespiratory activities.
5.) May Help Both Men And Women With Improved Sexual Function
Ashwagandha has long been regarded as a sexual health herb in ayurvedic medicine and there are now a number of emerging studies supporting this idea. A study involving 46 male patients with oligospermia (i.e. low sperm counts) showed ashwagandha led to considerable increases in testosterone, semen volume, sperm concentration and sperm motility. A separate study involving 50 women also showed increases across the board for numerous different measures of sexual function.

Are Goli Ashwa Gummies safe? Any Side Effects?
While generally regarded as safe and well tolerated, ashwagandha may cause some unwanted effects in some users and needs to be respected.
Again, while being rare, the most common side effects experienced are stomach issues, low blood pressure and drowsiness. Anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding or pre/post surgery would be best to avoid ashwagandha just to be on the safe side. And that being said - no matter your situation, it's always recommended to talk to your GP or health practitioner before starting any new supplement.
It's also worth noting that you should cycle ashwagandha to both reduce the likelihood of any side effects and increase your body's response to it.
When Is The Best Time To Take Goli Ashwagandha?
The best time to take the blue goli gummies depends on exactly what ashwagandha benefits you are optimising for.
If you find you're looking to take ashwagandha to help increase energy and improve physical performance - then taking Goli ashwa gummies in the morning makes more sense. However, if your goal is to use ashwagandha to help reduce stress & anxiety while also aiding you in getting better quality sleep, then taking them late in the day or into the evening is probably a better option for you.

Here are some quickfire FAQs and answers for you that will hopefully cover anything else you may still want to know about the Goli Ashwagandha gummies.
How long does it take for Goli Ashwagandha Gummies to work?
Determining when your ashwagandha gummies work is a tricky one and will be different for most people. Most users that have a positive experience say they begin to notice the effects within 2-4 weeks of consistent daily use. However, individual results may vary based on factors such as age, body composition, and overall health. You may also experience the physiological benefits of ashwagandha benefits without actually feeling a change in your body.
How many Goli Ashwagandha Gummies should I take each day?
The recommended daily serving size for Goli Ashwagandha Gummies is typically 2 gummies per day for adults, equating to 300 mg of KSM-Ashwagandha.
How much do they cost?
Depending on what quantity you order - they typically come in between 25 and 35 cents per gummy - or $1.00 to $1.25 per serving per day. Keep in mind that prices may change over time and might be different depending on your location. Also, if you choose to use our discount code (THEBIRCHERBAR), you can save anything from 10% to 50% depending on the promotion they are running.
Does Goli Ashwagandha work for weight loss?
While Goli Ashwagandha Gummies aren't specifically made for weight loss, they might offer indirect support due to Ashwagandha's ability to manage stress. Since stress can lead to overeating and unhealthy food choices, reducing stress could potentially help with your weight loss journey. Remember, though, that lasting weight loss usually involves a mix of a well-balanced diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle overall - there's no one-stop pill or gummy.
Can you take Goli Ashwagandha Gummies every day?
Yes, it is safe for most people to take Goli Ashwagandha Gummies daily as long as you stick to the recommended daily serving. However, it's essential to be aware that some experts suggest cycling off Ashwagandha periodically to maintain its effectiveness and avoid potential side effects. For example, you might take it for 6-8 weeks, then take a break for 1-2 weeks before resuming.
What are the side effects of ashwagandha Goli gummies?
Goli Ashwagandha Gummies are generally considered safe for most people when taken at the recommended dosage. However, some individuals may experience side effects, including:
- Upset stomach or digestive issues
- Drowsiness or dizziness
- Allergic reactions (rare)
Again, ashwagandha is well tolerated by most people and these reactions are quite rare, however, any discussions regarding the safety of ashwagandha should always be done with your GP.
Is Goli Ashwagandha good for anxiety?
Many people claim Goli's ashwa gummies have helped them manage anxiety issues. As discussed, ashwagandha is a potent adaptogenic herb that has been shown by a number of clinical studies to help the body manage stress levels and anxiety. Again though - individual responses may vary, and Goli Ashwagandha Gummies should not replace professional medical advice or treatment for anxiety.
The Bottom Line:
In my opinion - the Goli 'blue gummies' are probably the best-tasting and most useful product from Goli Nutrition.
Ashwagandha is an excellent ayurvedic herb with many science-backed properties that most people would benefit from. The recommended dose delivered in the Goli ashwa gummies will be appropriate and effective for most people looking to try them for reducing stress and anxiety as well as improving general performance and health.
That being said, if you're looking to control your dose more effectively (i.e. much larger doses for strength programs etc.) then you'll probably need to move to a capsule or powder - otherwise you'll likely be eating more gummies than your stomach or wallet will agree with!
Overall though - tasty, convenient and not crazy expensive (especially if you can get them on sale) - Goli Ashwagandha Gummies are a great way for many people to get a decent dose of KSM-Ashwagandha on the daily.
