SUPERFEAST TREMELLA REVIEW BY DARCY - BIRCHER BAR FOUNDER & OWNER:
What I Like About It:
Magnificence inside & Out – One benefit that Tremella is known for is its “beautifying” qualities. It contains high polysaccharides which help retain moisture in your skin, this helps remedy the appearance of aged skin.
Tremella may allow your cardiovascular system to do more work too, helping relieve inflammation in the lungs and providing better circulation throughout your whole body.
Sweet Taste – SuperFeast’s Tremella is delicious! It has a mildly sweet flavour that pairs well with many drinks or desserts.
Cheaper than Creams – Some of these age-defying creams may work, but they are expensive and must be continually applied. Others contain nasty chemicals that in the long run aren’t good for you to use.
Tremella is a much healthier alternative that can deliver the same results and also at a fraction of the cost.
Incredible Product & Company – SuperFeast takes holistic wellness seriously. They listen intently to their customers and deliver products that meet and exceed their needs. They study each medicinal herb to understand the best way to grow it and extract the most potent health benefits.
We’ve worked closely with them for years and are always absolutely pleased with them. They go above and beyond other companies. They set a new standard in the holistic health care industry. Their customer service will have you feeling like you are a part of the SuperFeast family.
A Word of Caution About It:
The terrific Tremella hasn't done me any harm, but if you are suffering from a cough or cold, you may want to avoid taking the mushroom until it clears up. The Tremella hydrates every part of the body, which could exacerbate a cough or make cold symptoms temporarily worse.
- Makes skin smooth and refined.
- Hydrates parts of the body that are usually dry.
- Improves cardiovascular performance.
- Protects the body from sickness and disease.
- A super high-quality product from an excellent company
- Could aggravate cold and cough symptoms

What is Tremella?
Tremella is a gorgeous, white mushroom that looks like something growing from a coral reef. It also looks exactly like a loofah bath sponge. Its wet and gelatinous form grows off wild hard broadleaf trees natively found in tropical climates.
Its hydrating properties are based on its physics. It can hold a considerable amount of water – about 500 times its weight. It goes by many names like “snow mushroom” because of its sterling white appearance, “yin er,” “silver ear mushroom,” and “white jelly mushroom.”
Tremella’s use dated back to 200 A.D. and was once only allowed for Chinese royalty. A famous Chinese concubine named Yang Guifei of the Tang dynasty took Tremella consistently. She is known as one of the most beautiful women in Chinese history.
Health Benefits of Tremella:
The snow fungus has been explored by science in many different studies. Its anti-ageing effects are well documented, along with a host of other beneficial health properties. It contains high amounts of fibre, collagen, antioxidants, and vitamin D. Polysaccharide is the main antioxidant found in Tremella and treats a considerable breadth of conditions.
To briefly outline some of the most commonly recognised and researched benefits:
- Supports a robust immune system
A potent anti-inflammatory
- Keeps the skin elastic and smooth
- Hydrates both the skin and internal organs
Lowers cholesterol in the body
- Supports bronchial and lung health
- Improves physical performance
Slows the ageing process
- Fights against cancer
- Promotes a youthful complexion
- Increases digestive efficiency
- Safeguards the neurological system
Let's dive deeper into some of the most evidence-backed benefits below.
1.) Healthy, Youthful Complexion:
We have to cover Tremella’s beauty benefit at the top of the list because it is the main property of the mushroom. There are many sides of the snow mushroom that help people look younger. Tremella is packed with antioxidants that neutralize free radicals in the body that speed up ageing and keep the skin hydrated.
Vitamin D helps regenerate skin cells and keeps the skin supple and moist. The enormous amount of water in the mushroom may make your skin pliable, durable, and elastic.
2.) Decreases Inflammation:
Tremella's active anti-inflammatory components are due to the antioxidant polysaccharide. They prevent inflammation from spreading in the body. Tremella can help fight off inflammatory syndromes like high cholesterol, heart disease, and respiratory illness.
One study administered polysaccharides to mice suffering from inflammation. All the mice showed a significant reduction of swelling after treatment.
3.) Boosts Immunity:
You will hear about polysaccharide again and again. It’s because this miracle antioxidant in Tremella does many wondrous things, including improving protective measures in the body. Polysaccharides are 'immunomodulators'. In lamen terms, they stimulate antibody formation and augment white blood cell activity in the body.
A scholarly examination recognized 15 controlled human studies that all illustrate polysaccharides having a drastic effect on the immune system.
4.) Repair the Brain:
The polysaccharide is at it again. It can even help repair memory impairment in the brain. It does this by stimulating the growth of new nervous system cells from neural stem cells.
One study administered polysaccharides to mice suffering from transgenic Alzheimer's disease, and they all showed marked improvement in memory and cognitive ability.
How to Take Tremella:
As previously mentioned, Tremella’s flavour is delightful and pleasant. You can mix it into many different drinks and food recipes to add an extra bit of something sweet to the mix. Adding both Tremella and Neural Nectar to the mix will give your brain an additional boost, though keep in mind Neural Nectar has a very strong taste.
My favourite way to take it is by adding a bit into my daily coffee. It makes the perfect natural sweetener for my americano!
As for dosage, they recommend starting with ¼ to ½ tsp daily and working your way up from there.
This is what SuperFeast has to say about taking Tremella:
“Feel into how you feel when taking the herb and you have the option to build up, we often like a nice maintenance dose of 1 teaspoon daily to really see shifts within the body and mind. Tremella (like all the SuperFeast herbs) are not sensitive to temperature. This means that you can add your trem to hot or cold food or drinks. You will receive the full bioavailable benefits; the powder extract is ready to ingest.”
