What I Like About It:

Value For Money - this is what I would call a "bang for your buck" product. When you consider everything that goes into producing this blend, from sourcing and extraction to the cost of ingredients themselves (I mean, it literally contains micro-ground pearl powder!) I believe this product is incredible value.

Flavour - containing the "five-taste fruit" Schisandra, along with goji & longan berry gives this blend a slightly sour and sweet taste, lending itself perfectly to being stirred into your favourite drinks, smoothies or meals.

Sourcing and Packaging - as with all SuperFeast products, the herbs used in Beauty Blend are sourced using the ancient Di Dao philosophy of harvesting herbs from their spiritual homeland, and are packaged in the same Miron glass you know and love to preserve the potent quality of the herbs, and prevent any unwanted spills!

What I Think Could Be Improved:

Not a negative but something to be considered; as this is a blend you don't have access to each individual herb and their benefits in the same concentration as you would if you took them individually. It's a sacrifice of concentration to take on the benefits of multiple herbs that work better in conjunction with one another.

In Summary:

Schisandra Berry

This little red berry packs a big punch! Schisandra is an absolute wonder herb that comes with a whole host of health benefits; it is believed to promote youthfulness, purify the blood and optimise memory as well as giving you a boost in the bedroom.

Not typically used as food, these ancient herbs have been used instead for medicinal purposes throughout Asia for generations.

Goji Berry

Another red berry native to Asia, Goji berries are packed full of antioxidants, beta-carotene, vitamins and more! I'm sure you're thinking "and that helps me because...?" so let me expand on that.

Antioxidants are known for their awesome immune-boosting powers, they also fight harmful free radicals and inflammation. Antioxidants such as vitamin C, zeaxanthin, and carotenoids are responsible for fighting cancer cells and have been known to slow tumour growth.

Another reason goji berries are a staple part of SuperFeast's Beauty Blend is due to their high concentration of beta-carotene which is known for its ability to promote healthy skin, being used in skin creams to help fight signs of ageing, reduce skin irritation and manage the effects of the sun.

Longan Berry

Sometimes called a berry and sometimes a nut, longan is actually neither! Instead, it is a fruit related to lychee that grows in bunches and is a similar size to a large grape.

Nicknamed "dragon's eye" due to its appearance, longan is common in traditional Chinese medicine, with both the fruit and the seed being used for healing and general health.

This powerful TCM 'Qi tonic' is thought to nourish the heart, control blood pressure, increase physical stamina and add radiance to the skin.

Oyster Pearl

Believe it or not, pearl is classified as a tonic herb and is considered a Shen tonic, meaning it may help relieve uneasiness in the heart and mind. SuperFeast sources their oyster pearl in the freshwater lakes of the Zhejiang region of China before boiling them (for sterilization) and milling them into a super micro-ground pearl powder which is then used in their beauty blend.

Used for thousands of years, this ancient beauty tonic is said to have been used by Wu Zetian, a Chinese empress, to beautify her skin.

While we can't know this for certain, we can confirm that micro-ground pearls contain amino acids that stimulate the skin to produce collagen and promote cellular repair and hydration, trace minerals such as potassium and magnesium which help maintain skin's health and is said to boost antioxidants superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione, which can help fight against disease and may even extend life.
