What is Herbs of Gold Triple Strength Omega-3?

Herbs of Gold Triple Strength Omega-3 provides a concentrated source of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil. Each capsule delivers 900mg of EPA plus DHA for cardiovascular, brain, and eye health support.

EPA and DHA support healthy cardiovascular function, brain health and cognitive function, and eye health. These essential fatty acids cannot be efficiently produced by the body and must be obtained through diet or supplementation.

The oil is molecularly distilled to remove impurities and contaminants, ensuring a pure, high-quality product. The high strength allows therapeutic omega-3 intake with fewer capsules compared to standard fish oil.

Triple Strength Omega-3 is suitable for those seeking meaningful omega-3 supplementation in a convenient, concentrated form.

Each capsule contains:

Concentrated Fish Omega-3 triglycerides 1.5g providing:

EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) 540mg - Supports cardiovascular health, helps reduce inflammation, and promotes healthy blood flow and circulation.

DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) 360mg - Essential for brain function, cognitive health, and supports healthy eye structure and function.

Total 900mg of EPA and DHA per capsule.

Does not contain egg, milk, peanut, tree nuts, gluten, lactose or artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Contains: Fish.

"What sets Triple Strength Omega-3 apart from standard fish oil is the concentration — 900mg of EPA and DHA per capsule means you're getting a clinically relevant dose in a single softgel rather than needing multiple capsules to achieve the same result. For me, quality and purity are non-negotiable with fish oil, and this formula undergoes molecular distillation and is independently tested for heavy metals and environmental pollutants. It's a product I recommend with confidence."

Frequently asked question

Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are essential fats the body cannot produce on its own, supporting heart health, brain function, eye health, and reducing inflammation. The recommended daily intake varies by health goal. You need 300mg of combined EPA and DHA for general health, 500mg DHA for brain and cognitive support, and 2.7g of combined EPA and DHA daily for joint inflammation relief.

Fish oil has mild antiplatelet properties, and while earlier research raised concerns about bleeding risk, more recent clinical evidence suggests standard doses do not significantly increase bleeding risk alongside blood-thinning medications. As a precaution, always inform your doctor or pharmacist that you are taking fish oil if you are on anticoagulants, and discuss all supplements with your health professional prior to any surgery.

High-quality, molecularly distilled fish oil rarely causes fishy burps. Taking with food and refrigerating helps. Aftertaste may indicate oxidation.

Both fish oil and krill oil provide EPA and DHA, but they differ in form and source. Fish oil delivers omega-3s as triglycerides, while krill oil provides them as phospholipids, which some research suggests may be absorbed more readily. However, krill oil typically contains significantly less EPA and DHA per capsule than a high-strength fish oil, meaning you would need more capsules to achieve the same therapeutic dose.
