What is Nutra Organics Gelatin?
Nutra Organics Gelatin is a pure, unflavoured gelatin powder sourced from Australian grass-fed cattle. It's the traditional form of collagen that gels when cooled—perfect for making homemade gummies, jellies, panna cotta, marshmallows and other recipes.
Unlike hydrolysed collagen which dissolves completely, gelatin creates that wobbly, set texture when mixed with liquid and cooled. It contains the same amino acids (glycine, proline, hydroxyproline) that support gut health, skin and joints.
Gelatin has been used for generations as a gut-healing food. The amino acid glycine supports the gut lining, while the gelling properties can make foods easier to digest.
Sourced from Australian farms that are grass-fed and confirmed Bovaer-free, this gelatin sets firmly and works reliably in recipes. It's a wholefood ingredient for both health and culinary purposes.
Key Ingredients
Bovine Gelatin - Sourced from Australian grass-fed, Bovaer-free cattle. Gelatin is collagen in its natural gelling form, containing amino acids including glycine, proline and hydroxyproline. These amino acids support gut lining health, skin elasticity and joint function.
Processing Aid (Sulphur Dioxide).
Contains Sulphites.
May contain milk, egg, soy, sesame, lupin, fish, crustacean, mollusc, almond, brazil nut, cashew, hazelnut, macadamia, pecan, pine nut, pistachio, walnut.
Gelatin needs to undergo a washing process as part of its refinement which results in sulphur dioxide residues. Sulphur dioxide has not been added to the final product.
Directions
If you prefer drinking gelatin then for a single serve: Add approx. 1 tbsp. (10 g) to your hot liquid of choice (tea, coffee). If you prefer, 'Bloom'' the gelatin prior to adding to your liquid.
To make a set gelatin: Bloom gelatin by adding approximately ¼ cup of gelatin (40 g) to ½ cup of water (1:2 ratio) and stir until an even texture is achieved. Add bloomed gelatin to 250 mL of any hot liquid with your flavouring and stir until dissolved. Pour into a mould and then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
NOTE: Reduce the amount of gelatin for a softer set or increase for a firmer set.
Warnings
Store in a cool, dry place.
May contain traces of milk, egg, soy, sesame, lupin, fish, crustacean, mollusc and tree nuts.
Quality you can trust
"This is the one for people who want to make their own healthy treats at home—gummies, jellies, gut-healing jiggles for the kids. It sets properly because it's quality gelatin from grass-fed sources. I commonly see parents using this to make healthy lollies, or people doing gut-healing protocols who want gelatin-rich foods. It's also great for setting panna cotta or adding body to sauces."

Frequently asked question
What's the difference between gelatin and collagen powder?
Gelatin gels when cooled—it's what makes jelly wobbly. Collagen powder (hydrolysed) dissolves completely and doesn't gel. Use gelatin for recipes that need to set. Use collagen powder for drinks and foods where you don't want a gel texture.
Is gelatin good for gut health?
Yes, gelatin contains glycine and other amino acids that support the gut lining. Traditional cultures have used gelatin-rich bone broths for digestive health for generations. It's often included in gut-healing protocols.
How much gelatin should I use in recipes?
Generally, 1 tablespoon of gelatin sets about 2 cups of liquid. For firmer gummies, use more gelatin. For softer jellies, use less.
