What is Melrose FutureLab Cognition Nootropic?

Melrose FutureLab Cognition Nootropic combines two traditionally used herbs—Sage and Bacopa—for cognitive support.

Bacopa monnieri has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years as a brain tonic to improve memory and cognition.

Sage (Salvia officinalis) has a long history in Western herbal medicine as a body tonic with cognitive-supporting properties.

This formula uses standardised extracts—Sibelius™ Sage and Ebel. One™ Bacopa—to ensure consistent levels of active compounds in every capsule, bridging traditional wisdom with modern quality standards.

Each capsule contains:

Sibelius™ Sage (Salvia officinalis) leaf extract - Sage contains compounds that may inhibit acetylcholinesterase, helping maintain acetylcholine levels important for memory and cognitive function. Standardised to rosmarinic acid.

Ebel. One™ Bacopa monnieri whole plant extract - Bacopa's bacosides support neuronal communication and may help protect brain cells from oxidative stress. Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a brain tonic. Standardised to ebelin lactone.

Adults – Take one capsule with water daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

Talk to an Ayurvedic practitioner/health professional if you are unsure if this medicine is right for you.

Store below 25°C away from direct sunlight.

Do not use if tamper evident seals are broken or missing.

"What makes this formula interesting is the mechanism behind Sibelius™ Sage — it works by helping preserve acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter most associated with memory and learning, which naturally declines as we age. Paired with Ebel. One™ Bacopa, which supports neuronal communication and helps protect brain cells from oxidative stress, you have two herbs working on cognition from genuinely different angles."

Frequently asked question

Research on Bacopa suggests that cognitive benefits, particularly for memory, typically become noticeable after 8-12 weeks of consistent daily use. This is because Bacopa appears to work by supporting neuronal health and communication over time, rather than providing immediate stimulant-like effects. Patience and consistent use are key.

No, this formula does not contain stimulants. Unlike caffeine or other stimulants that provide temporary alertness followed by a crash, Bacopa and Sage work through different mechanisms to support cognitive function. They may support memory and mental recall without the jittery side effects or sleep disruption associated with stimulants.

While Cognition Nootropic can often be combined with other supplements, it's important to consider potential interactions and avoid duplicating effects. If you're taking other cognitive support supplements, medications for memory conditions, or anti-anxiety medications, consult your healthcare professional before combining.

While the formula is designed for adults, particularly older adults experiencing age-related cognitive changes, younger adults may also use it. However, healthy younger individuals may not notice the same benefits as those experiencing cognitive decline. Those with no cognitive concerns may prefer to focus on lifestyle factors like sleep, exercise, and nutrition first.
