What is SuperFeast Lion's Mane?

Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a distinctive white, shaggy mushroom. It has been used in Chinese medicine to nourish Spleen Qi and support digestion, and it has long been associated with mental clarity and focus.

Modern interest centres on its hericenones, compounds found in the fruiting body. These are being studied in laboratory and early human research for their role in nerve and brain health. Lion's Mane is now one of the most popular natural nootropics among students, professionals and anyone who wants daily cognitive support.

SuperFeast Lion's Mane is a 10:1 fruiting-body extract with nothing added, sourced Dì Dào (地道) from the Zhejiang and Heilongjiang regions of China.

"Lion's Mane is one of the most-asked-about mushrooms at the counter, and quality varies enormously. This one is a 10:1 fruiting-body extract, not mycelium grown on grain, and nothing is added. I suggest taking it daily for several weeks before judging it, and checking with your doctor first if you're on anticoagulants."

Frequently asked question

Lion's Mane is traditionally used to support focus, memory and mental clarity. In Chinese medicine it is also used to support digestion, reflecting the gut–brain connection.

Laboratory and animal studies suggest Lion's Mane compounds may stimulate NGF production. Human evidence is still emerging and limited, so it is best viewed as promising rather than proven.

It is a tonic, so consistent daily use over several weeks is typical before people notice a difference. Individual responses vary.

Fruiting-body extracts contain hericenones and are free from grain residue. Mycelium products are often grown on grain, which can dilute their mushroom content. SuperFeast uses the fruiting body only.
