Golden Oats!

 

 Golden Oats

I learned quite early on that I'm very much a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. If i can put together a bowl that I know is fuelling the body right without having to make any extra blurry-eyed decisions - then it's a win in my books.

On that note, I can't remember the last time I started the day with anything other than an epic combination brekky bowl, usually packed with a nutritious and tasty assortment of seeds, nuts, grains, fruit, yoghurt and spices!

This amazing recipe below by the brilliant Raimee Leigh (modified slightly by The Bircher Bar) is one of my favourite go-to options. So simple, so versatile, incredibly healthy & always delicious!

 

Golden Oats!:
 
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1 cup of mixed berries 
- 1/2 sliced banana 
- 30g of quality muesli or granola (I use either Premium Mix or Energy Mix)
- 1/2 turmeric chai coconut super bar made by sneaky whole foods 
- 1 tbsp of natural peanut butter (Byron Bay Peanut Butter of course!)

Method:
1. Soak oats in 1 cup of boiling water or coconut milk for 5 min or until all the liquid has been soaked up by the oats. 
2. Mix Golden latte mix into the oats and place into a bowl.
3. Top the oats with sliced banana, super bar, mixed berries, granola and then drizzle peanut butter over the top. 

 

Simple as can be and super tasty!
